When you call one of these shops, you should give them the following
information:
- You are insured with New York Central Mutual Insurance Company.
- Policy Number.
- Date of Loss.
- Year, Make and Model of your vehicle.
- Location of glass broken (e.g. windshield, passenger, front etc).
- Cause of breakage (if known).
The glass shop will set up an in-shop appointment or mobile
service at a location that's convenient for you. The glass
shop will take care of all paperwork. Once your glass replacement
is complete, just pay your deductible, if applicable, and you are on your
way!
Of course, you may choose a shop that is not on our list. If the
shop you choose does not provide an insurance discount, you will be responsible
for the difference in price.
Glass Repair: Small chips and star breaks can usually be repaired
without removing the windshield, insuring that the original seal is left
intact eliminating the possibility of leaks, rattles or wind noise.
This type of repair can be done mobile or in shop.
Mobile Service: Service trucks equipped to handle
all situations are dispatched to a location of the insured's choice (Home,
Parking Lot at work, etc.) for glass replacement in all weather conditions
except severe cold or rain.
