As a carrier solely serving New York State, we feel especially honored to receive the highest score in New York in the J.D. Power Study, which provides regional analyses of customers’ perceptions of their auto insurer’s ability to meet their expectations.

J.D. Power is a global leader in consumer insights, data, analytics, and advisory services that helps clients drive growth and profitability. The Study provides regional analyses of customers’ perceptions of their auto insurer’s ability to meet their expectations.
How does the study work?
Fielded from May 2024 through April 2025, the study is based on responses from 48,121 auto insurance customers to provide benchmarks in 11 geographic regions, including New York! The J.D. Power study measures customer satisfaction with auto insurers in key categories, (listed in order of importance): level of trust; price for coverage; people; ease of doing business; product/coverage offerings; problem resolution; and digital channels.
Key findings from the study
The 2025 study revealed that overall customer satisfaction among auto insurers in the U.S. is scoring 644 on a 1000-point scale. The study also indicated good rates and low cost are the top reasons auto insurance customers cite for purchasing from an insurer, but when it comes to renewing an existing policy, good service and positive claims experience are the top drivers of client retention.
